What Influencers Had to Say About QD-OLED at CES 2023

Find out what technology journalists and influencers thought of Samsung’s QD-OLED at CES with our summary of the key talking points and a video round-up.

Samsung Display’s QD-OLED 2023 products impressed this year’s CES visitors. They were included in an exhibit showcasing the display technology’s enhanced performance and the new lineup of 77” and 49” TVs and monitors (in addition to the existing 24”, 55”, and 65” displays).

What was new for QD-OLED at CES 2023?

At the world-renowned event, Samsung Display showcased the all-new QD-OLED 2nd generation (also known as QD-OLED 2023).

This update is far more than an aesthetic change. QD-OLED display technology has been reengineered and improved. The QD-OLED 2023 is created using a cutting-edge OLED material called HyperEfficient EL and includes an improved pixel optimization algorithm called IntelliSense AI.

QD-OLED sets new performance standards that no other display can match. Get ready for more than 2,000 nits of “true” color brightness and dynamic range. Plus, it lasts longer and uses 25% less power than its predecessor, which means it’s better for the environment.

Why Franco Fontana’s art captured everyone’s attention

One major discussion point at Samsung Display’s QD-OLED booth was the exhibit of Franco Fontana’s masterful Language of Color series. The exhibition included eight works by Fontana, including “New York” (1985), “Puglia” (1978), and “Ibiza” (1992), shown on QD-OLED displays.

The QD-OLED’s wide range of colors and accurate expression brought Fontana’s great art to life. Visitors praised Fontana’s lifelike and immersive artwork. Only a QD-OLED display could show these incredibly vivid photos without distortion.

You can watch the video below to see how QD-OLED displays complemented Fontana’s artwork.
